Stellenbosch: Die grootste bonsai-skou in Afrika vind in die Stellenbosch-stadsaal plaas. Sowat 200 van die beste bonsai in die land sal op die skou te sien wees. Daar gaan werksessies, demonstrasies en kunstenaars van heinde en verre wees. Die skou is oop vir die publiek van 09:00 tot 17:00; Sondag sluit dit om 15:00. Toegang vir die publiek kos R20. Grabouw: The annual Outdoor and Adventure Expo is back at the Elgin Sports Club. The event features the latest outdoor and adventure lifestyle vehicles and equipment and is aimed at the whole family. This includes regular and off-road caravans, 4×4 off-road vehicles, crossover vehicles and SUVs as well as camping and other equipment for a holiday or lifestyle in nature. Numerous other exhibitors will also be involved, including food, coffee and wine vendors, a beer garden and much more. The expo is not just another show or a flea market; it is a full-blooded outdoor and adventure expo for the whole family. Stellenbosch: Stem en Snaar, ’n nuwe vertoning deur Johan Liebenberg, bekend vir sy vertolking van Neil Diamond se tydlose liedjies, en die kitaar-virtuoos Mauritz Lotz, wat bekendheid verwerf het vir sy ongelooflike kitaarspel, is om 15:00 by die Drostdy-teater te sien. Die vertoning is vol musikale sterkpunte met Liebenberg se gunstelingliedjies van ander kunstenaars asook ’n paar van sy eie, soos “Die gebed” en “Ek wil jou by my hê”. Saam met hulle op die verhoog is ’n spesiale gas, die klaviervirtuoos Matthys Maree, wat al diep spore in die Suid-Afrikaanse musiekbedryf getrap het. Pniël: Musician Stanislav Angelov will be one of several performers at Argentine Tango @ Die Boekklub off Helshoogte Pass from 14:00 to 18:30. The event has been arranged by an organisation dedicated to building the Argentine Tango dance and music community in the Boland and celebrating Afro-Argentine artistic culture. The event is open to anyone and spectators are welcome; many experienced dancers from the surrounding area and other parts of the Cape will be joining as part of the attraction. Angelov (accordion and bandoneon) and pianist Albert Combrink will present live performances and arrangements of iconic golden-age tango songs, original compositions and the music of the legendary Astor Piazzolla. The event starts with a lesson by two expert dancers. Die Boekklub is located on Farm 1210 along the Helshoogte Pass. The cost is R60 per person for the social dance with live music and R100 for social and lesson. Food and drinks will be on sale. Stellenbosch: The sixth annual “Walk with Disability” will return to the town’s streets, with registration at 08:00 and the walk from the Stellenbosch Town Hall at 09:00. It is expected to draw approximately 400 participants – people with disabilities, allies, community members and prominent figures. It is organised by the Stellenbosch Disability Network (SDN) in partnership with Stellenbosch Municipality and Stelkor Pharmacies. Stellenbosch: Johan de Villiers dirigeer twee uitvoerings van Felix Mendelssohn se oratorium Elijah by die Endler-saal. Brittany Smith (sopraan), Minette du Toit-Pearce (mezzo), Siphe Mdena (tenoor) en Conroy Scott (bariton) tree as soliste op, met laasgenoemde in die titelrol van Elijah. Die koor bestaan meestal uit oud-lede van die Libertas-koor en die orkes bestaan uit 45 professionele instrumentaliste, met die konsertmeester Petri Salonen.
