Stellenbosch: Mike McCully and the Harmonix presents Superstars of Rock at the Drostdy Theatre at 20:15. The show features the mega superstars of rock n roll from the 1960s to the 1990s, like Bon Jovi, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Blondie, Tina Turner, Journey, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and many more. The drummer and vocalist Mccully will be joined on stage by Gordon MacKay (keyboard and vocals), vocal powerhouse Sjanel Vosloo, guitarist Warren Lomberg and bassist Neil Peyten. Stellenbosch: Die Winelands Filharmoniese Orkes (WPO) vier in Mei sy tweede bestaansjaar met ’n skouspelagtige Autumn Peaks-konsert as deel van die Endler-konsertreeks om 19:00. Die konsert in die Endler-saal beloof ’n diverse en dinamiese musiekervaring. Onder die stokkie van die dirigent, Reghardt Kühn, verken die orkes ’n ryk tapisserie van klank, wat ingewikkelde ritmes en melodieë integreer om die gehoor te prikkel. WEDNESDAY 12 JUNE
Stellenbosch: The St Olaf Choir, an a cappella ensemble from Minnesota in the US, will perform at the Endler Hall at 19:00. Comprising 75 mixed voices the choir is hailed as one of the US’s premier a cappella ensembles, renowned for its artistry and beauty of sound. The acclaimed choir, under the baton of its renowned conductor Dr Anton Armstrong, will dazzle South African audiences during their first tour of the country, with eight concerts and numerous choir collaborations and workshops. The concert will also feature host choir Amici de Lumine, conducted by Michaelangelo Cloete. Tickets, at R100 per person, can be booked online though Quicket.
