SATURDAY 12 OCTOBER

Stellenbosch: The 14th annual Stellenbosch Pageant will take place at the Stellenbosch Town Hall. Competing categories range from Tiny, Toddler, PreTeen, Teen, Senior and even Mrs categories with 40 finalists that will be vying for these crowns. Each finalist will strut their stuff one last time in front of an esteemed panel of judges, in evening attire, where the new ambassadors will be crowned. SUNDAY 13 OCTOBER

Faure: Vergenoegd Löw will host a plethora of activities in October, celebrating wine, food, music and community. Visit the farm from 12:00 to 14:00 on Sundays to celebrate Spring. Pniël: Die ATKV-onderwysafdeling en die Afrikaanse Onderwysnetwerk (AON) vier onderwysers en gee erkenning aan die uitnemende werk wat deur onderwysers oor die wêreld heen gedoen word deur ’n glansgeleentheid aan te bied. Die geleentheid beloof om onderwysers te bederf met optredes van sprekers, gaskunstenaars en ’n driegangmaaltyd. Beperkte kaartjies is nog beskikbaar. Somerset-Wes: Die Stellenbosse musikante Bennie van Eeden (pianis) en Winand Grundling (orrelis) tree saam met die Klassieke Klanke-orkes en Canticum Novum-koor by die NG Helderberg-kerk in Firmount-weg op. Devonvallei: Die Geestelike Ambassadeurs vir Jesus Christus bied om 18:00 die gospel extravaganza, volume 2 by Laerskool Devonvallei aan. Plaaslike gaskunstenaars sal te same met die musikant Evangelis Dawid Claasen asook bekende Psalmdigers soos Remalia Esau, Wildene Bosman, Marchelle van Wyk, Granville Abrahams en meer, optree. Grabouw: The annual Outdoor and Adventure Expo is back at the Elgin Sports Club. The event features the latest outdoor and adventure lifestyle vehicles and equipment and is aimed at the whole family. This includes regular and off-road caravans, 4×4 off-road vehicles, crossover vehicles and sports utility vehicles as well as camping and other equipment for a holiday or lifestyle in nature.
