Universal Children’s Day celebrated by Early Education Centre

Staff of The Early Education Centre, an NPO that has operated in Cloetesville for the past 14 years, celebrated Universal Children’s Day by visiting various institutions in the communities it serves on Monday 20 November. The day started at the Khayamandi and Cloetesville clinics, where parents, guardians and caregivers shared in the talk on the rights and responsibilities of children, the awareness of human trafficking and safety and health of children as the festive season approaches. Groups of little ones took part in some interactive storytelling about safety and their role at three registered partial-care facilities – ATKV Abbasorg, Nora Tyres Creche and Pumpkin Patch-kleuterskool (pictured) – in the Cloetesville area. Afterwards the children received a strawberry treat courtesy of Zetler Berries and a sweet treat packet. The Early Education Centre thanked its supporters who made the celebration possible as well as those who participated in the activities.
