The love and legacy of Warrant Officer Steven Britz was celebrated by his former colleagues at Klapmuts Police Station last Tuesday, 16 April.


The love and legacy of Warrant Officer Steven Britz was celebrated by his former colleagues at Klapmuts Police Station last Tuesday, 16 April.

He was only 44-years old when gunned down in the line of duty while manning the station charge office alone on 16 April 2014.

Post-mortem reports indicated Britz had been shot twice in the head.

Klapmuts police officers held a ceremony on the anniversary of Britz’s death.

Late Brtiz’s colleagues sgt. Patricia Tyantsi, sgt. Neil Cupido, and sgt. Elcaino Petersen.

Last week his old shift members, Sgts Neil Cupido, Patricia Tyantsi andElcaino Petersen, planted a tree in remembrance of their late commander. They all said Britz would never be forgotten. They were joined by current station commander Captain Jacobus Moos and all Klapmuts police officers, together with the pastors of Klapmuts Crime Prevention, for the celebration.
