Comic Con Cape Town will introduce of KidsCon, a dedicated area on the show floor that has children’s activities and an unparalleled toy shopping experience, at this year’s event.
The ultimate family experience will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from Saturday 27 April to Wednesday 1 May. At KidsCon families will have the opportunity to embrace their inner superhero and explore the creative world of play.
Comic Con Cape Town also announced its partnership with toys retailer, Toys “R” Us, who is on board as the presenting partner for KidsCon. Hosting a retail experience in the KidsCon area, Toys “R” Us will bring kids and adults a range of top toys from popular, well-known brands.
Launched in 2019, alongside Comic Con Africa in Johannesburg, KidsCon quickly established itself as a highlight of the event. Offering a blend of entertainment and excitement that is both enjoyable and unforgettable, it’s time that KidsCon is introduced to the Cape Town offering.
There is no additional ticket required to make the most out of enjoying KidsCon. Comic Con Cape Town also has a policy that children five years and under enter at no cost.
The highlights of what to expect from KidsCon 2024 includes:
• Fans can expect a Toys “R” Us shopping experience like never before, complemented by a range of top toys and collector items that can be bought at the event to extend the experience of Comic Con Cape Town.
• Gaming and tech: Allow kids to immerse themselves in the world of video games, fostering friendship and skill development while igniting curiosity with the latest in kids-focused technology, providing hands-on experiences and educational opportunities for young tech enthusiasts.
• Table-top gaming: Dive deep into the realm of strategy and excitement with off-screen tabletop gaming and trading card games like Pokémon.
• Cosplay: Encourage self-expression and creativity with daily Casual Cosplay Competitions, allowing young participants to dress up and showcase their passion for their favourite characters with a chance to win prizes.
• Kids’ activities: Tailored for young fans, KidsCon offers age-appropriate and entertaining activities.
