Grayson Bergstedt (green belt, centre front) has moved on to the next level on his karate journey, following a successful mass grading at the Bothasig Civic Centre on Saturday 9 December. The 10-year-old student of Karate-Zen Cloetesville was successfully graded to green belt with two stripes at a grading that featured karatekas from across the Cape. The hardworking and dedicated student was also honoured at the annual Karate-Zen International Awards ceremony held at the Parow Civic Centre on Saturday 25 November, when he was named Student of the Year. Karate-Zen Cloetesville is located at the rugby clubhouse of Cloetesville Sport Grounds, with training sessions held on Monday and Thursday during academic terms from 17:30.
